Colocasia esculenta ROYAL HAWAIIAN® 'Kona Coffee' was bred to be a sturdy garden performer and container specimen. This variety is disease resistant with fabulous foliage and stem interest, and a tidy clumping habit. Well-suited to a tropical program, it makes a bold statement in the garden or landscape. The drama of the foliage is increased when backlit as the veins show through. The petioles (stems) are also ornamental. Colocasia is at home in the wetland or pond garden in full sun where it can really show off its best attributes. This variety is robust while not exhibiting any signs of runners. Outstanding container plant!
