Weigela florida ‘Dark Horse’ has very dark foliage, a compact form, and deep pink flowers. The foliage color is sun and heat tolerant. ‘Dark Horse’ is a superior dark foliaged Weigela. Final height is half the size of ‘Wine and Roses’.

The flower color is very attractive against the purple foliage. Use ‘Dark Horse’ as an accent plant or hedge.
