Hosta ‘Thunderbolt’

Hosta sieboldeania ‘Thunderbolt’ is a sport of the popular Hosta sieboldiana ‘Elegans’.

‘Thunderbolt’ was selected because of the wide blue-green margins with golden centers. As the foliage matures during the season, the center fades to a creamy-white. The leaves are also thick with heavy corrugation. The growth habit of ‘Thunderbolt’ is also more vigorous than the parent plant. Uses include shade gardens, mass planting, and as a specimen plant.
