Helleborus WALBERTON’S® Ivory Prince

Helleborus x hybrid = ‘Walhelivor’

Helleborus hybrid (x ericsmithii type) WALBERTON’S® Ivory Prince = ‘Walhelivor’ has prolific ivory flowers flushed with pink and streaked with green and rose hues that deepen with time. The outward-facing, long-lasting blooms appear late winter-early spring. The unusual silvery mottled evergreen foliage makes ‘Walhelivor’ attractive through all seasons and is a highly desirable plant in the border or container. Its consistent vigorous growth habit of tidy evergreen foliage makes this a grower and retailer’s dream crop. It prefers well-drained, moist, fertilized soil. In mild climates, it will tolerate full sun, plant in part shade elsewhere. In cold areas, mulch will help protect the plant during winter. Being fully evergreen, the oldest leaves should be removed if they become shabby. Cut back flowers when they have fully faded. Ivory Prince ‘Walhelivor’ tends to be resistant to deer and voles and is drought resistant once rooted in.
