Dahlia Mystic Dreamer = ‘Zone Ten’
Eminent NZ breeder Dr. Keith Hammett has spent years refining Gran’s favorites to come up with a distinctive new Dahlia series of stylish, more contemporary kind of plants just right for today’s gardens. These beauties are set apart from other Dahlia varieties by their fashionable filigreed deep mahogany to black foliage topped with vivid blooms. Unlike their forebears, they do not require staking. Topping off their instant appeal are masses of demure single flowers in superb colors suited to a wide range of uses.
Dahlia Mystic Dreamer = ‘Zone Ten’ has pale pink-white blooms with a strong magenta stripe on the individual petals.
Grouped together they are ideal to add a riot of color to either the tropical or perennial garden border, or as a star performer in pots and planters on the patio or deck. They perform best in full sun in rich moisture retentive soil. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming season. They will die down in winter before erupting again the following spring.
