‘Hint of Gold’ offers multi season interest as a compact shrub with its outstanding golden
foliage that holds up well in the heat in the southeast – it comfortably survived the heat of
summer in Georgia! There is some indica blood in its lineage but the breeder believes that other
species are important contributors. With a beautiful compact habit it has rather large leaves
that have a slight sheen to them. Rich blue flowers appear in late summer and make a striking
contrast to the golden foliage. Best to have two prunings to maintain its appearance.
